Job description

CONCESSIONS MANAGER – CONTRACT POSITION

Wylie High School Pure Gold Band Boosters

Help us serve more than concessions—help us support the Pure Gold Band!

The Wylie High School Band Boosters is seeking a dependable, energetic, and professional Concessions Manager (Contract Employee) to assist with the operation of our concession stands throughout the school year.

Our concession operations are one of the Band Boosters’ most important fundraising efforts. The funds raised help us provide meaningful support and opportunities for the incredible students of the Wylie Pure Gold Band.

Why This Position Matters

Our band students put in countless hours rehearsing, performing, competing, traveling, and representing Wylie High School with pride. They show up early, stay late, work through the Texas heat, and continually challenge themselves to become better musicians, performers, and teammates.

Behind those students is a team of parents, volunteers, and supporters working just as hard to make their opportunities possible.

The Concessions Manager is a vital part of that team.

By helping us operate organized, efficient, and successful concession stands, you directly contribute to fundraising that allows the Band Boosters to support our students and the Pure Gold Band program.

Primary Responsibilities

The Concessions Manager will work alongside Booster leadership and volunteers to:

  • Help prepare concession stands before events and football games.
  • Assist with opening, organizing, stocking, and closing concession areas.
  • Help ensure food, drinks, supplies, and equipment are ready for volunteers.
  • Provide direction and support to concession volunteers during shifts.
  • Maintain an organized, welcoming, and professional concession environment.
  • Help monitor inventory and communicate restocking needs.
  • Assist with food preparation and service as needed.
  • Help maintain appropriate cleanliness and food-safety practices.
  • Work closely with the Band Booster Concessions Chairs and leadership.
  • Bring a positive attitude and willingness to jump in wherever needed.

Primary Schedule

Hours may occasionally vary based on the Wylie ISD event schedule and volunteer participation, but the primary anticipated schedule is:

Mondays: 3:30 PM – 5:30 PM
Thursdays: 3:30 PM – 5:30 PM
Monday and Thursday shifts may occasionally extend beyond 5:30 PM depending on volunteer turnout and operational needs.

Fridays: 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM

Additional or adjusted hours may occasionally be available or necessary for special events.

Who We're Looking For

The ideal candidate is someone who:

  • Is dependable, punctual, and responsible.
  • Enjoys working with people and supporting volunteers.
  • Can provide friendly leadership in a busy environment.
  • Is organized and able to multitask.
  • Is comfortable working in a fast-paced concession environment.
  • Is willing to take initiative and solve problems.
  • Communicates professionally with Booster leadership, volunteers, parents, and guests.
  • Most importantly, believes in supporting students and wants to be part of something that makes a difference.

More Than a Job

There is something special about watching the Pure Gold Band take the field knowing you helped make their opportunities possible.

These students work incredibly hard, and they deserve a strong support system working behind the scenes for them. This position offers the opportunity to become an important part of that support system while working alongside a dedicated group of parents and volunteers.

Come help us keep the concessions running, the volunteers supported, and the Pure Gold Band shining!
