POSITION SUMMARY:
The Banquet Bartender's first responsibility is to uphold the Martis Camp standard by ensuring quality service is delivered in a timely and professional manner. The banquet bartender will confirm that member needs are met, that food and beverage orders are accurate, and that special food and beverage requests are accommodated when possible.
Provides detailed, attentive, and efficient service at all events
Extensive knowledge of bar menu, specialty cocktails, liquor, wine, and beer
Uses accurate liquor pours, cocktail techniques, and glassware for all requested beverages
Ensures quality service is delivered in a timely and professional manner to all event guests and hosts.
Knows the details of the event, including menu, dietary restrictions, table settings, and timeline of event
Keeps a positive attitude during each event
Attention to detail to ensure each event is set complete and to specification
Provide warm, professional hospitality.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Completes opening and closing duties in a timely and thorough manner
  • Checks the accuracy and quality of beverages delivered
  • Adequate knowledge of wine, beer, liquors, cocktail recipes, and drink technique, all while using proper glassware
  • Adequate knowledge of the menu, food allergies and the timeline of each event
  • Maintains a secure bar area
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Martis Camp standards as required by scheduling
  • Comply with Martis Camp standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient club operations
  • Ability to fulfill server roles when needed and present on the floor during events
  • Maintain bar service while supporting the team, run food, drinks, clear, and assist where and when needed.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS, AND LICENSURE:
  • Minimum of 2 years in a bartending position
  • Alcohol service card
  • Food service card
  • Valid driver's license to drive golf carts
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a collaborative work environment utilizing various technologies such as telephone, computer, e-mail, etc.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs. assisted and 50lbs not assisted
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a collaborative work environment utilizing various technologies such as telephone, computer, web, voice, teleconferencing, e-mail, etc.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for 4-8 hours at a time and 8-10 hours total per shift
  • Must be able to reach, bend, kneel, pull & push to assist with storage cleaning duties and event space maintenance

AVAILABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to work overtime in peak periods
  • Must be able to work varied shifts at different locations and with minimal or no supervision
