Hours of Job
- Full Time - 1st Shift - Monday-Friday.
- On-Site, Salary position.
- Rotating after hours and weekend on call.
Duties and Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Active Directory and identity services, including domain controllers, Group Policy, DNS, file permissions, and Microsoft Entra AD synchronization.
- Manage enterprise backup, replication, and disaster recovery systems to ensure data integrity, system availability, and recoverability.
- Support database server environments, including SQL databases and associated services.
- Maintain and support VMware vSphere and virtual infrastructure platforms, including capacity planning and performance optimization.
- Administer application and integration servers supporting internal and third-party systems critical to clinical and business operations.
- Manage email, endpoint, and authentication security platforms to protect organizational data and systems.
- Support file servers and shared storage systems, including access controls, permissions, and data organization.
- Support and maintain network infrastructure, including WAN, LAN, routers, switches, VPNs, VLANs, and wireless networks, in coordination with networking resources.
- Monitor system and network performance using enterprise monitoring and alerting tools; respond to incidents and proactively address issues.
- Administer remote access platforms to support secure and reliable user connectivity.
- Support Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams.
- Administer patch management and system update services to ensure security and system stability.
- Administer and support the organization's phone system and associated telecommunications services.
- Provide internal application support for EHR, ERP, imaging, reporting, and other clinical/business systems.
- Ensure compliance with licensing requirements for Windows Server, Microsoft 365, and other enterprise software platforms.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server operating systems, virtualization platforms, and enterprise storage. Experience with Active Directory, authentication, access control, and directory services. Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery concepts and technologies. Ability to independently plan, implement, test, and maintain enterprise systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess risk and implement sustainable solutions. Experience documenting system configurations, procedures, and technical standards. Working knowledge of system security principles, patch management, and vulnerability remediation. Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines in a healthcare environment.
Physical Effort
- Requires full range of body motion including manual and finger dexterity, eye-hand coordination, standing and walking for brief periods. Occasionally lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. Requires corrected vision and hearing within normal range. May require evening or weekend work in response to system maintenance, upgrades, or critical incidents. Ability to work effectively under stressful conditions.
Interpersonal Skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with end users, technical staff, vendors, and leadership. Demonstrated professionalism when providing guidance, resolving
issues, and coordinating system-related activities. Strong collaboration skills in a team-based environment supporting clinical and business operations.
Education/Certifications
- Minimum of an Associate Degree in Computer Technology, Information Systems, or related field.
- Must have training in various Microsoft operating systems and personal computing products.
Experience
- 5-7 years of progressive experience in systems administration or enterprise IT infrastructure supporting multi-user environments.
