Job description

Opti Metabolics is hiring an experienced Health CoachRegistered DietitianFunctional Medicine Coach, or Nutritionist to support our members in restoring their metabolic health and reversing insulin resistance.

As a remote health coach, you’ll work one-on-one with members to translate biomarker data into personalized health plans focused on weight loss, blood sugar stability, inflammation reduction, and habit change. This role blends functional nutritionlifestyle medicine, and supplement guidance in a high-touch, virtual coaching model.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct remote 1:1 coaching sessions and asynchronous follow-up support

  • Interpret biomarker and lab results in collaboration with our clinical team

  • Develop custom plans for nutrition, sleep, movement, and metabolic goals

  • Guide members through insulin resistance reversal and metabolic health protocols

  • Provide supplement education, including mechanisms of action, timing, and safety

  • Promote elimination of ultra-processed foods and industrial seed oils

  • Use coaching methods such as motivational interviewing and habit tracking

  • Maintain accurate documentation in our digital coaching platform

  • Collaborate with our internal team to improve education and coaching protocols

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 7–10 years of coaching experience in clinical, wellness, or private-practice settings

  • Certification as a Registered Dietitian (RD)Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS), or NBHWC Health Coach

  • Additional certification in coaching frameworks (e.g., Precision NutritionFMCAIFNA) strongly preferred

  • Familiarity with insulin resistance, CGMs, fasting-mimicking diets, and low-carb nutrition

  • Strong understanding of supplement protocols (e.g., berberine, magnesium, omega-3s)

  • Proficiency with remote health coaching tools and digital documentation systems

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with an empathetic coaching approach

Preferred Experience:

  • Coaching clients with metabolic dysfunction, pre-diabetes, PCOS, or weight loss resistance

  • Familiarity with functional labs and interpreting biomarker trends over time

  • Experience using platforms like Fullscript, Nutri-Q, or digital coaching dashboards

  • Startup, tele-health, or digital health company experience is a plus

Working Conditions:

  • Fully remote role with flexible schedule

  • Part-time or full-time, depending on caseload and availability
