Our Role:

The main function of this role is to ensure the safety and security of all guests, staff, and touring personnel while they are in attendance at our venue.

Daily duties include patrolling the interior and exterior of the building, screening guests and verifying credentials, managing barricade activity and monitoring, maintaining situational awareness and performing de-escalation as needed, communicating via radio with staff, supervisors, and management, and completing report writing and documentation.

As part of a cohesive unit, consistent and clear communication between staff members, supervisors, and management is essential.

Job Functions:

  • Patrol among guests and/or employees to preserve safety, order and to protect venue property
  • Walk through the crowd to emphasize security presence within the building
  • Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, guests, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security and safety of the premises
  • Will write reports and/or contact logs of daily activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual/problematic occurrences
  • Patrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates
  • Operate detecting devices to screen individuals and prevent passage of prohibited articles into the venue(CEIA OPENGATE systems, Garret Handheld Magnetometer Wants, Etc.)
  • Perform 1-1 screenings that may include pat-downs, visual screening and bag/personal item screening.
  • Warn persons of rule infractions orviolations
  • Apprehend and eject violators from premises.
  • Assist venue staff with daily setup/breakdown tasks in the venue.

Qualifications:

  • Evening availability required. Typical shows run from 5:30pm - 12am
  • Position requires occasional sitting, constant walking, climbing stairs
  • Must be able to carry 75lbs. alone or up to 200+lbs as a team.
  • Must be comfortable working in a crowded environment with noise reaching 100 dBa, strobing lights and complete darkness.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills are a must.
  • Report writing and penmanship skills
  • Strong sense of punctuality and time management
  • A strong-sense of teamwork and ability to execute tasks assigned by management and supervisors.
  • Ability to perform duties in a professional manner and appearance
  • Ability to adhere to venue/management policy and operate independently or as a team
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience (GED, HiSET) required
  • Acute sense of judgment, tact and diplomacy.
  • Handheld radio operation/communication
  • Security/Event/Law Enforcement experience a plus

Applicants for employment in the U.S. must possess work authorization which does not require sponsorship by the employer for a visa.

  • Starting pay is $20.00 hourly. Pay may scale depending on previous experience.

The expected compensation for this position is:

$17.65 USD - $20.00 USD Hourly
