Virtus Healthcare Staffing is supporting the recruitment efforts for an open
Staff Sonographer - Women's Health (RDMS AB or OB/GYN) position at a leading academic medical center in
Burlington, VT. This is a
full-time position (40 hours per week) with
Day/Evening shifts and scheduled weekend rotation.
Requirements:
- Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program, Radiologic Technology program, or equivalent two-year allied health program
- ARDMS registration required with ABD (Abdominal) or OB/GYN credential
- Experience:
- Minimum 2 years (24 months) of clinical diagnostic ultrasound experience preferred
- Skills:
- Advanced technical expertise to perform tailored examinations and recognize diagnostic pathology
- Ability to collaborate effectively with physicians and interdisciplinary teams

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and complex diagnostic ultrasound imaging tailored to each patient's clinical presentation
- Customize examinations to overcome anatomical challenges and obtain high-quality diagnostic images
- Collaborate closely with physicians and radiology staff to ensure accurate diagnosis and optimal patient care
- Maintain technical competency and assist in the orientation of new team members or trainees
- Promote compassionate, age-appropriate care in all patient interactions
