The University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh invites applications for a full-time Videographer within theDepartment ofMarketing.In this role, you will conceptualize, produce, and post-produce high-quality video content that advances the university's strategic communications, marketing, and storytelling goals across a wide range of platforms and audiences.

Working in a collaborative, creative environment, you will capture the breadth of campus life-from academic achievements and student stories to athletic events, institutional announcements, and community partnerships.
This position requires the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, carry andoperateequipment, and travel to off-campus locations. Occasional evening and weekend availability isrequiredto accommodate athletic events, ceremonies, and other campus programming.

Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Video Production & Filming
    • Plan, shoot, direct, and edit professional-quality video content for a variety of platforms including the university website, social media, digital signage, streaming services, andbroadcast.
    • Film a diverse range of campus activities including academic programs, student life,special events, ceremonies, athletics, and community engagement initiatives.
    • Operate professional-grade video cameras, lighting equipment, audio gear, and stabilization systems in both studio and on-location settings.
    • Conduct on-camera interviews; direct subjects comfortably to achieve natural, authentic results.
  • Post-Production & Editing
    • Edit footage using industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects) to produce polished final deliverables.
    • Apply color correction, motion graphics, lower thirds, and audio mixing to ensure broadcast-quality output.
    • Develop andmaintainconsistent visual branding and storytelling standards aligned with UW Oshkosh brand guidelines.
    • Manage project files, raw footage archives, and completed video assets in organized digital storage systems.
  • Collaboration & Project Management
    • Partner with the Marketing & Communications team to develop creative concepts, storyboards, and production timelines.
    • Coordinatelogisticsfor video shoots, including scheduling, location scouting, talent coordination, and equipment reservations.
    • Consult with campus departments, student organizations, and external stakeholders to understand communication goals and deliver targeted video content.
    • Balance multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Athletics & Live Event Coverage
    • Provide videography coverage of UW Oshkosh Titans athletic events, including game-day highlights, features, and promotional content.
    • Support live streaming operations and broadcast-quality production for select events as needed.

Required Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience in video production, including filming, directing, and editing.
  • Proficiencyin professional video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or equivalent).
  • Strong working knowledge of camera operation, lighting design, and audio recording in diverse environments.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and meet deadlines.

  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to on- and off-campus locations, including occasional evening and weekend shoots.
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of motion graphics, animation, or 2D/3D visual effects.
  • Experience with drone/UAV videography (FAA Part 107 certificationa plus).
