Job Description: 

The Supply Chain Compliance Intern will support ISR Supply Chain operations by assisting with activities that help promote compliance with supply chain policies, procedures, government regulations, and industry standards. This is an entry-level role intended for a student or early career individual who is interested in learning about supply chain compliance in a government contracting environment.

The intern will work under the guidance of experienced team members to gain exposure to supply chain compliance processes, supplier documentation requirements, internal procedures, and regulatory expectations. The role will involve assisting with routine tasks, tracking compliance-related activities, reviewing documentation for completeness, and supporting process improvement efforts.

Coordination with internal teams and occasional interaction with suppliers may be part of the role, with oversight and direction from more experienced staff.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist with supply chain compliance activities in support of ISR Supply Chain operations.
  • Support the team in reviewing supply chain and purchasing processes for alignment with internal policies and established procedures.
  • Help identify documentation gaps, process issues, or improvement opportunities and communicate findings to team members.
  • Support routine supply chain compliance reviews by gathering data, maintaining records, and preparing basic summaries or reports.
  • Learn and assist with monitoring compliance requirements related to external regulations, including FAR and DFARS, under supervision.
  • Help document and track supplier compliance issues and support follow-up activities as directed.
  • Provide general administrative and analytical support to the Supply Chain Compliance team across ISR sites.
  • Help prepare training materials, reference guides, or communications for sourcing team members related to compliance processes and procedures.
  • Support efforts to improve efficiency and organization within the supply chain compliance function while maintaining compliance expectations.
  • Perform other assigned tasks in support of the team's goals and learning objectives.

 

Qualifications:

  • To be eligible, applicants must be pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in supply chain management or related field

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Project and PowerPoint
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or other Lean Experience
  • Experience with SAP, SharePoint, Tableau, or other business systems is a plus, but not required.
