Our laboratory in Ames, Iowa is hiring for several skilled seasonal positions to support increased demand during the upcoming fall season. Positions start immediately, with training provided over the summer, and will continue until December 2026. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a lab setting while contributing to important environmental work. What we offer: $20-23/hr depending on experience and qualificationsUp to 40 hours per week with potential for overtimeA fast-paced, high-tech laboratory environment Opportunities to apply your skills and to learn new ones!What you'll be doing:As a Soil Lab Technologist, you will utilize highly specialized laboratory instruments and methods to prepare and process samples, conduct routine and specialized tests to determine chemical and physical properties, and accurately report and interpret results while maintaining best-in-class quality control standards. What you'll need: Post-secondary education in a related field such as chemistry, biology, or soil scienceWorking knowledge of analytical methodology, instruments, and general laboratory proceduresExperience with Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP) ionization methods would be idealA flexible schedule and the ability to work a variety of shifts including, days, evening and/or occasional weekends.#IndeedSeasonal
