Responsibilities

The Role

  • The Second-in-Command reports functionally to the Pilot-in-Command during the assigned flight and administratively to the Chief Pilot on other matters.
  • Assists the PIC in the safe and efficient conduct of the flight;
  • Maintains a working knowledge of the duties and responsibilities of the Pilot-in-Command;
  • Assumes PIC duties, including control of the flight, in the event of PIC incapacitation;
  • Participates in the Safety Management System.
Qualifications

Requirements

  • Holds at least a Commercial Pilot Certificate with an Instrument and Multi-Engine Rating;
  • Possess a First Class FAA Medical Certificate;
  • Possess a valid U.S. Passport.
  • Previous Jet Experience.

Preferred

  • Possesses a Bachelor's degree (highly desirable).
  • Holds an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate with Multi-Engine Rating and is type rated in the appropriate aircraft.
  • CL30 Type Rating strongly preferred
  • 3500 Hours Total Flight Time

Our steel operations produce steel products, including hot roll, cold roll, and coated sheet steel, structural steel beams and shapes, rail, engineered special-bar-quality steel, cold finished steel, merchant bar products, and specialty steel sections.
