Position Overview

Meridian Health Behavioral Services is actively seeking a dedicated and licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our remote team. This role primarily focuses on providing comprehensive therapeutic services to a diverse client base, including individuals, couples, families, and groups facing various mental health challenges. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing client caseloads and delivering psychotherapy, assessments, and consultations tailored to help patients achieve their personal and therapeutic goals.

Work Environment

This is a full-time remote position, giving you the flexibility to work from the comfort of your home while remaining an integral part of our multidisciplinary team. Work hours are structured from 9 AM to 6 PM, Monday through Friday, with no evening or weekend commitments, allowing you a healthy work-life balance. Our team utilizes collaborative communication tools and electronic health record systems to facilitate seamless interactions and monitoring of client progress.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments and develop customized treatment plans for a varied patient population.
• Be well-versed in the latest trends and regulations in behavioral healthcare, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal programs.
• Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals, including primary care providers, to deliver coordinated and comprehensive care.
• Maintain rigorous adherence to mental health policies and procedures, safeguarding the integrity of the behavioral health program.
• Execute intake evaluations with empathy and efficiency, ensuring a welcoming experience for each client.
• Provide immediate counseling and crisis intervention as necessary, helping clients navigate urgent mental health situations.
• Refer clients needing inpatient or specialized care to appropriate external services, enhancing their treatment journey.
• Screen patients for substance use disorders and provide individualized support or referrals for appropriate recovery resources.
• Utilize pharmacotherapy intervention strategies as needed, specifically referring patients to Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) services.

You will work with a diverse client demographic, including individuals experiencing chronic illness, grief, and various mental health disorders. Our hospice services focus on delivering end-of-life care that addresses both mental and emotional well-being, making your role crucial in supporting patients and their families during one of the most challenging times in their lives.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Social Work or Counseling from an accredited institution is required.
• A current state license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• Demonstrated clinical expertise with superior assessment and intervention capabilities.
• Strong crisis intervention skills and mature judgment in high-pressure situations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of articulating complex concepts clearly.
• A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Proficiency in electronic health records and other relevant computer systems, with a commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a hospice or palliative care setting would be highly valued.
• Familiarity with telehealth practices and technology, particularly within mental health.
