Work Environment

This position offers the flexibility of remote work, allowing you to maintain a healthy work-life balance while contributing to our mission to improve mental health services. The standard work hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, with some opportunities for evening and weekend hours on a rotational basis, catering to client needs and enhancing our service availability.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the severity and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients, utilizing standardized tools and frameworks.
• Collaborate closely with clients to develop bespoke treatment plans that are tailored to their unique needs, preferences, and therapeutic goals.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to effectively address mood disorders.
• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment modalities, and self-care strategies, empowering them with knowledge to manage their conditions.
• Continuously monitor and document clients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes and adherence to evidence-based practices.
• Engage in collaborative care by working with psychiatrists and other medical professionals to provide integrated support for clients’ mental health needs.
• Stay informed about the latest research developments in mood disorders and apply this knowledge to enhance treatment strategies.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Participate in regular case consultations and team meetings to share insights and enhance clinical skills through collaborative learning.
• Advocate for clients by promoting understanding and de-stigmatization of mood disorders within the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with individuals experiencing various mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. Our diverse clientele encompasses individuals from various age groups, backgrounds, and socioeconomic statuses, each presenting unique challenges and requiring tailored therapeutic approaches. Your work will significantly impact the mental well-being and recovery journeys of these individuals.

Qualifications

• Master's or doctorate in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Georgia.
• A strong theoretical background and practical experience in evidence-based treatment modalities for mood disorders, in particular CBT and DBT.
• Excellent diagnostic skills and the ability to develop effective treatment plans based on evidence-based practices.
• Proficiency in understanding psychopharmacology to collaborate effectively with psychiatric colleagues.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients from varied backgrounds.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure clinical experience specializing in treating mood disorders is preferred.
• A proven track record of successfully delivering therapeutic interventions and achieving positive patient outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits
