This full-time, remote position offers a unique opportunity to make a tangible difference in the community by providing essential mental health support and advocacy services to individuals and families. The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree in Social Work and active licensure as an LCSW, reflecting a commitment to high standards of care and professional excellence.

About the Organization

As a nonprofit organization, Gotham Enterprises Ltd is deeply committed to improving the quality of life for the communities we serve. Our mission revolves around advocacy, education, and the provision of direct services aimed at addressing social justice issues, empowering marginalized groups, and creating lasting behavioral and societal change. Our integrated approach combines research, policy advocacy, and community outreach initiatives that not only address immediate needs but also work towards the root causes of social disparities.

Work Environment

The work setting for this role is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility while maintaining a collaborative environment with colleagues and community partners. Though distance-based, we foster a strong sense of teamwork through regular meetings and strategic planning sessions, and we may on occasion require attendance at events or workshops, particularly those focused on community engagement. Regular business hours are expected, with the possibility of occasional evening and weekend hours to facilitate special programming or community events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate the social, emotional, and psychological needs of clients, utilizing standardized tools and evidence-based methodologies.
  • Provide individual and group counseling sessions that draw from a repertoire of therapeutic approaches tailored to meet clients’ specific needs and goals.
  • Develop and implement personalized service plans in collaboration with clients, ensuring they are aligned with their aspirations for personal growth and socio-emotional well-being.
  • Serve as an advocate for clients, helping them navigate complexities in accessing resources and addressing issues related to social justice and equity.
  • Enhance program offerings through active involvement in development, evaluation, and reporting processes associated with grants and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders including government agencies and community organizations, to strengthen service delivery and promote systemic change.
  • Engage in ongoing professional training, attend team meetings, and participate in community outreach programs to foster public awareness of available services.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary demographic you will serve includes individuals and families from diverse backgrounds facing a myriad of challenges, including mental health issues, economic hardship, and social isolation. Many clients may present with histories of trauma or systemic barriers that have impacted their ability to thrive. Your role as the LCSW will be to provide compassionate care that not only addresses these immediate challenges but also empowers clients to advocate for themselves in seeking resources and support.

Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New Jersey.
  • Demonstrated understanding of social justice principles, trauma-informed care practices, and advocacy skills.
  • Exceptional communication, empathy, and organizational skills, vital for fostering client relationships and effective teamwork.
Preferred Experience
  • At least two years of experience in a clinical or nonprofit setting providing direct mental health services.
  • Familiarity with community resources and referral systems beneficial for client outreach.
  • Experience in program development and evaluation within a social services context.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is competitive, offering between USD 80,000 and 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience. In addition to the salary, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, contributing to overall well-being, as well as retirement planning options with employer contributions. We also offer generous paid time off, professional development resources, and opportunities for advancement within the organization.
