- Serve as a Physical Education Instructor and Strength and Conditioning Coach, heavily contributing to the establishment and launch of a premier Performance Institute.
- Instruct across multiple areas of the physical education program, including activity-based courses, fitness education offerings, and within the Kinesiology major.
- Teaching responsibility will be in Fundamentals of Personal Fitness course as aligned with the Army's Holistic Health and Fitness (H2F) System.
- Design and implement evidence-based training programs aimed at optimizing athletic and military performance, mitigating injury risks, and supporting long-term physical development.
- Plan comprehensive training cycles and schedules, manage facility and equipment utilization, and enforce strict compliance with safety standards and best practices.
- Maintain relevant certifications and stay current on the latest research and methodologies in strength, conditioning, and applied sport science.
- Provide physical readiness training instruction during Cadet Summer Training.
- Track training loads and recovery metrics, coordinating closely with medical and other performance staff to ensure holistic personnel development.
- Evaluate baseline physical readiness and provide hands-on instruction for proper movement mechanics and lifting techniques.
- Maintain precise training records and assessment data; generate reports to inform coaching strategies and brief leadership on readiness and progress.
- Actively contribute to the ongoing professional development, training, and mentorship of fellow faculty members within the department.
- Serve as a dedicated member of departmental directorates or committees, executing administrative duties to support the department's overarching mission.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must (a) hold a bachelor's degree or higher that included or was supplemented by major study in education or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position, OR (b) possess a combination of education and experience courses equivalent to a major in education, or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position, plus appropriate experience or additional course work that provided knowledge comparable to that normally acquired through the successful completion of the 4-year course of study described above.
SELECTIVE PLACEMENT FACTORS/KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Applicants will be evaluated on the following:1) Academic Accomplishment (Master's or Ph.D. preferred) In Physical Education, Exercise Science, Kinesiology or a closely related field.
2) Demonstrated ability to design and implement evidence-based training programs to optimize athletic and military performance.
3) The ability to instruct personal fitness courses at the collegiate level.
4) Demonstrated proficiency with contemporary human performance technologies and software.
5) Demonstrated experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a strength and conditioning or performance setting.
