Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our vibrant healthcare team at Community of Hope Counseling Services. This full-time, remote position offers a unique opportunity to provide essential mental health support to underserved populations in Columbus, Georgia. As an LCSW, you will play a crucial role in fostering healthier communities by helping individuals navigate complex emotional challenges and mental health issues.

About the Organization

Community of Hope Counseling Services is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered healthcare services in medically underserved areas. We believe in the fundamental principle that healthcare should be accessible to all, regardless of an individual’s ability to pay. Our mission is to empower our clients through compassionate care and to set an example for other health centers across the region. Our efforts are guided by the belief that by acting locally, we can create a positive global impact.

Work Environment

This position is structured to be fully remote, allowing you significant flexibility in your work environment while ensuring that you can provide uninterrupted care to our clients. You will engage with clients Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with occasional evening or weekend hours as needed based on client availability and needs. This setting enables you to integrate your professional expertise with everyday realities, thus enhancing your interaction with clients depending on their specific situations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients presenting with major mental illnesses and severe emotional disorders, utilizing evidence-based diagnostic tools.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that align with the specific needs and goals of clients, continuously monitoring progress and making adjustments as necessary.
  • Facilitate therapeutic interventions both in the virtual setting and, when appropriate, within the community context, ensuring a holistic approach to care.
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, sharing insights and strategies to enhance client treatment outcomes and achieve shared organizational goals.
  • Maintain compliance with the ethical standards and professional guidelines as outlined by the organization and relevant social work boards.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance your clinical skills and knowledge base, promoting collaboration and learning among peers.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on individuals grappling with serious mental health issues who may often face additional socio-economic challenges. By building trusting relationships with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds, you will provide critical support that empowers them to make informed choices and enhance their emotional well-being. Your role is pivotal in bridging the gap between clinical services and the unique needs of the community, ensuring that every client receives personalized attention and care.

Qualifications
  • Must hold a current LCSW license and possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or a related field.
  • Demonstrated expertise in mental health assessment, diagnosis, and crisis intervention.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are crucial for effective client interaction and documentation.
  • Proven organizational skills, enabling you to manage a diverse caseload effectively while adhering to deadlines.
Preferred Experience

We prefer candidates with a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in mental health settings. Experience working specifically with diverse populations, understanding cultural nuances, and utilizing innovative therapeutic modalities will be considered an asset.

Compensation and Benefits
  • Competitive base salary in the range of $85,000 to $90,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
  • Attractive sign-on bonus available to new hires.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance to ensure your well-being.
  • 401(k) retirement savings plan with employer-matching contributions to support your future.
  • Generous paid time off (PTO) and holiday pay to promote work-life balance.
  • Life insurance and additional support for maintaining your health and wellness.
