Job description

General Purpose
The Retail Business Banker position is an intermediate-level position that travels as needed to assist officers and educate customers about Alpine Bank products and services.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Practices exceptional service with customers using training programs and measurement tools.
  • Assists customers with commercial electronic banking products including, but not limited to, merchant processing, Remote Deposit, and business credit cards.
  • Exhibits expert level of knowledge of consumer and business new account programs.
  • Uses numerous software applications to accomplish daily tasks with minimal errors.
  • Understands consumer lending services, tools and guidelines.
  • Advanced knowledge in, and ability to demonstrate, Alpine Bank On-Line services.
  • Demonstrates consistent exceptional customer sales and service skills.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Employees are held accountable for all duties of this job.
Job Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:
  • Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to independently consult with the Bank's customers.
  • Familiarity with legal classifications of business entities.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate on and participate in sales presentations.
  • Understanding and application of banking compliance regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including (but not limited to) Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Notary Public is a plus.

Education or Formal Training:
  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) equivalent.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree a plus.
  • Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State of Colorado Driver's License is required.

Experience:
  • This person shall have completed all requirements of the Customer Service and Personal Banking Representative positions and have at least 2 years of experience.

Working Conditions
Working Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Prolonged periods of standing and/or sitting. Ability to function in a fast-paced environment. Travel to customer locations is likely. May include some weekend and evening hours.

These are representative of those which must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
The employee is frequently required to sit, stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Ability to move up to 50 pounds. Repetitive motion likely.
