As our Lead Maintenance Engineer, you'll command daily operations, inspire your team, and guarantee our property runs like a well-oiled machine. KEY SKILLS/RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Operations Trailblazer: Step up as our maintenance crew captain! Lead the charge, hand out projects like a pro, and keep every day running smoother than a freshly oiled gear-all with your winning grin.
  • Maintenance Marvel: Dive fearlessly into preventative maintenance missions, answer guest calls on the double, conquer work orders, and flaunt your superhero skills in carpentry, painting, plumbing, and beyond!
  • Safety Superhero: Keep our property safe and sound-tackle every task with lightning speed, sound the alarm at the first sign of trouble, and zap away hazards before they even know what hit them.
  • Team Cheerleader: Rally your engineering all-stars, juggle schedules like a circus master, and inspire your crew to be their absolute best every single shift.
  • Guest Happiness Guru: Respond to guest room fixes at record speed and sprinkle every interaction with positivity, making their stay unforgettable.
  • Property Adventurer: Embark on regular explorations around the grounds-spruce up the place, check on lights and irrigation, and ensure our pool and spa pass every health code with flying colors. Details are your treasure!
  • Admin Ace: Master the paperwork game-keep maintenance forms flawless, engineering records spotless, and jump in to help set up special meetings and events like a true backstage superstar.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
  • Licensed in a trade (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, etc.) preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Driving Record required (property specific).
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work unsupervised and handle financial information and basic arithmetic.

Located off I-88 near Oak Brook Mall, the Residence Inn Oak Brook hotel makes travel simple. Just a 30-minute drive to downtown, guests have access to Chicago's top sites without paying expensive downtown rates. Ideal for long stays, we offer pet-friendly, oversized suites that are 50% larger than traditional hotel rooms. Every suite includes separate living areas with pullout sofas, flat-screen TVs and free WiFi. With in-suite kitchens fully-equipped with full-sized appliances and cookware, guests will have all the comforts of home. When guests don't feel like cooking, they can join us for a free hot breakfast served daily. We're launching a new evening social experience with light fare, beer and wine during the week (Mon-Wed). Corporate travelers appreciate our 1,000 sq. ft. meeting space, perfect for meetings and social gatherings for up to 48 guests.
