BELL/VALET at the RUSTY PARROT LODGE


About the Position

A Bell/Valet plays a crucial role in creating a positive first impression for guests and ensuring their comfort and satisfaction throughout their stay. The primary responsibilities include assisting guests with arrival, luggage, information about the lodge and local activities, parking, room escort, special requests, and lobby cleanliness. Schedule is 2PM - 10PM Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon & Tues


Qualifications and Skills

As the Bell/Valet, you serve as the guests first interaction, and it is your responsibility to ensure that every aspect of the guest experience is executed flawlessly. One of your strengths is building immediate rapport through your welcoming manner and genuine service. Promptness, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills are paramount. Acting in the Valet role, you are responsible for driving, parking and retrieving guest vehicles to ensure a smooth and safe experience for arrival and departure. In the Bell role, you deliver top-tier customer service and possess extensive knowledge of our local area and lodge operations. In all aspects of the job, you must embody tact, diplomacy and discretion, respecting the privacy of every guest.

  • Welcome guests upon arrival with warmth and professionalism, ensuring a memorable first impression for their stay
  • Provide exemplary service by assisting guests with luggage, demonstrating care and attention to detail in handling their belongings
  • Offer extensive knowledge of lodge amenities, local attractions, and dining options, acting as a valuable resource for guests seeking recommendations or information
  • Execute valet services with precision and efficiency, safely parking and retrieving guests' vehicles to enhance their convenience and experience
  • Accompany guests to their rooms, offering assistance with door opening and ensuring they are comfortably settled in their accommodations
  • Anticipate and fulfill special requests from guests promptly and courteously, going above and beyond to exceed their expectations
  • Maintain impeccable cleanliness and organization in the lobby area, reflecting the hotel's commitment to excellence in every detail


Requirements

  • Previous experience in hospitality or customer service preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills and gift in establishing rapport quickly
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle handling and parking with a good driving record
  • Professional demeanor and appearance
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize
  • Familiarity with local attractions and amenities
  • Physically fit and able to handle luggage
