We are seeking a creative, organized, and self-directed Marketing Coordinator to take ownership of the company’s day-to-day marketing efforts and help strengthen the Moss Landscaping brand throughout Houston.
About the Role
This is a standalone marketing position reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO). The Marketing Coordinator will serve as the primary point person for marketing, taking ownership of projects from start to finish and working closely with leadership and other departments to keep the company’s marketing efforts organized, current, and effective.
The ideal candidate is someone who takes initiative, works well independently, manages multiple priorities, and is comfortable identifying what needs to be done and seeing it through.
What You’ll Do
• Website & Digital Marketing: Manage and coordinate website updates, including content, project information, photography, and photo inventory. Coordinate client photo releases through DocuSign.
• Social Media & Content: Develop and publish engaging content across the company’s social media platforms while maintaining a consistent brand voice and visual identity.
• Online Reputation: Own the company’s Google review process, including monitoring reviews and supporting efforts to generate positive client feedback.
• Awards: Own the awards submission process from start to finish, including identifying opportunities, gathering project information and photography, coordinating approvals, and managing submissions.
• Marketing Materials: Coordinate the company newsletter, e-blasts, portfolio materials, flyers, signage, business cards, and other branded materials.
• Events & Business Development: Coordinate marketing and business development events, including ICAA, CYCLE Bicycle Ball, industry luncheons, Lunch & Learns, and the Moss/Bravas Christmas Party.
• Community & Philanthropy: Coordinate sponsorships, donations, auction items, event and sports tickets, and other community initiatives.
• Photography: Coordinate photography needs and maintain an organized library of current project and employee photography.
• Business Development Support: Participate in lead-sharing meetings and support marketing initiatives that contribute to lead generation and business development.
• Special Projects: Partner with leadership and other departments on marketing and company-wide projects as needed.
What We’re Looking For
• 2+ years of experience in marketing, communications, social media, event coordination, or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field preferred.
• Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership of projects and responsibilities.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong copywriting and proofreading abilities.
• Experience managing social media and creating digital content.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud/Suite preferred.
• Familiarity with website content management systems and digital marketing platforms.
• Creative, resourceful, and comfortable working independently.
• Professional and confident when working with leadership, employees, clients, vendors, industry organizations, and community partners.
• Comfortable visiting residential properties and working outdoors in varying weather conditions for photography and other marketing needs.
• Valid Texas driver’s license required.
Position Details
• Full-time, in-person position based in Houston, TX.
• Primarily office-based, with regular time in the field for project photography, site visits, meetings, and events.
• Typical schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM or 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.
• Occasional early morning, evening, or weekend attendance will be required for company, client, industry, and community events.
• Local travel throughout the Greater Houston area is required periodically.
• This position involves occasional outdoor work and visiting residential properties in varying weather conditions.
Why Join Moss Landscaping?
This is an opportunity to have a visible and meaningful impact on the marketing presence of a well-established Houston company. You’ll have the autonomy to own the marketing function while working directly with leadership and collaborating across the organization.
