Job description

Home like comfort meets modern convenience at Fairfield Inn& Suites Marshall. Our extended-stay hotel places you near populardestinations, including Josey Ranch, the U.S. Federal Courthouse, East TexasBaptist University, Wiley College and Jefferson, Texas.

The hotel laundry attendant manages the cleaning,sorting, folding, and distributing of linens, towels, and bedding to ensureguest rooms are supplied. Key duties include operating industrialwashers/dryers, stain treatment, maintaining inventory, and cleaning thelaundry area, with roles requiring high physical stamina and attention todetail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Linen Processing: Sorting, washing, drying, folding, and ironing linens, towels, and uniforms.
  • Stain Management: Treating stains on linens using specific cleaning agents.
  • Inventory & Supplies: Tracking linen inventory, monitoring cleaning supplies, and reporting shortages or damaged items.
  • Maintenance: Cleaning and maintaining commercial laundry machines, such as cleaning dryer filters.
  • Safety & Sanitation: Operating machines according to safety protocols and keeping the workspace clean.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy laundry bags, stand for long periods, and work in warm conditions.
  • Efficiency: Ability to manage high volumes of laundry during busy times.
