This is a HYBRID position which requires 3 days per week in our Boston office.
About the Department
The Performance, Risk, and Attribution team provides critical insights that support investment decisions, enhance risk oversight, and strengthen client confidence. Team members collaborate closely with portfolio managers, investment professionals, and business stakeholders to analyze results, explain performance drivers, and improve data quality. This is a highly visible team offering exposure to senior leaders, meaningful analytical work, and opportunities to deepen investment management and technical expertise.
How You Will Add Value
  • You will create custom analyses and reporting for client, business, and investment requests.
  • You will analyze large datasets across funds, portfolios, and reporting periods.
  • You will execute performance measurement and attribution analysis across asset classes.
  • You will deliver fund-level analytics to stakeholders throughout the organization.
  • You will partner with portfolio managers to explain performance and risk outcomes.
  • You will analyze fund characteristics, holdings, and asset-level information.
  • You will maintain automated templates and reporting solutions.
  • You will produce and review recurring risk and performance reports.
  • You will investigate and resolve data quality and performance issues.
  • You will support process automation and workflow improvements.
  • You will monitor industry developments, regulations, and risk methodologies.
  • You will lead complex analytical initiatives and support key business relationships.

What Will Help You Be Successful in This Role
Experience, Education & Certifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related discipline.
  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in investment risk, performance analytics, or asset management essential.

Technical Skills
  • Knowledge of performance attribution methodologies, including Brinson and factor-based approaches.
  • Knowledge of risk metrics, including tracking error, correlation, beta, and duration.
  • Experience across multiple asset classes and complex financial instruments.
  • Proficiency with Structured Query Language (SQL), Microsoft Excel, and databases.

Soft Skills
  • Strong quantitative and analytical capabilities.
  • High attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement.
