About the Job
The YMCA Fairfax County Reston is looking for a motivated, driven, and enthusiastic Group Exercise Instructors to join our team for the following classes.ย  Reformer Pilates.ย  The group exercise instructor is responsible for instructing group fitness classes that exceed member expectations, promote services to attain and retain members, and provide a positive and fun group fitness experience.

Flexible teaching hours in evenings on weekdays

Qualifications and Skills:
Able to conduct safe, effective and motivating Group exercise class. Must display an outgoing personality, enabling him/her to relate well to participants. Demonstrated interest in working with individuals as well as groups of people. Current CPR, AED. Nationally recognized group exercise certification and/or other specialty certifications like Spin/Indoor Cycle, Les Mills, Barre.

We are looking for a fully certified Pilates Instructor to join our growing team. We are currently hiring for weekday positions only. This role would be teaching at our Fairfax County YMCA. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others improve their physical and mental wellbeing through the practice of Pilates.

A successful candidate will be responsible for leading classes, providing individual instruction, and developing customized programs for clients.

The Pilates Instructor should have a strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology, as well as excellent communication skills and strives to be inclusive and understanding to anyone who comes into the space.

Responsibilities:

  • Teaching evening classes (5pm-7pm) during the weekdays
  • Demonstrate proper form and technique for Pilates exercises.
  • Provide instruction on the use of Pilates equipment.
  • Provide individualized instruction to clients based on their fitness level and goals.
  • Develop and implement individualized exercise plans for clients.
  • Assess client progress and modify exercise plans as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
  • Educate clients on the benefits of Pilates.

Job Types: Part-time

Pay: $40 - $70 per hour (Commission)

Expected hours: 1-2 hours/week
