Overview

Location: Amherst, NY
Duration: 12 months

Are you ready to join a growing team?

We are seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Data Center Analyst I to support critical data center operations and infrastructure activities. This role is responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, and supporting systems hardware and related infrastructure while ensuring compliance with operational standards and procedures. The ideal candidate will have experience in critical operations environments, strong communication skills, and the ability to support multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and remove servers, routers, switches, security appliances, racks, patch panels, and cabling infrastructure.
  • Assign and manage rack space, infrastructure ports, and network connectivity.
  • Support data center equipment staging, shipping, receiving, and documentation processes.
  • Collaborate with engineering and project teams to implement infrastructure changes with minimal business impact.
  • Maintain technical documentation and operational records.
  • Communicate technical updates, project statuses, and operational issues effectively to stakeholders and management.
  • Participate in scheduled evening work and 24x7 on-call support rotations.
  • Ensure adherence to company risk management policies, audit standards, and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years of combined higher education and/or relevant work experience.
  • Experience working in critical operations environments such as data centers, hospitals, or power facilities.
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure hardware and cabling installations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation and communicate technical issues clearly.
  • Strong organizational skills with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and providing status updates in operational environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in Technology or a related field.
  • Technical certifications or specialized training in infrastructure, networking, or data center technologies.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
