SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Supply Chain Master Data Analyst reports to the Supply Chain Systems and Analytics Manager and is responsible for managing and maintaining both Item (Parts) Master Data and Supplier (Vendor) Master Data within the organization's ERP system. This role ensures data accuracy, consistency, and compliance across systems while supporting end-to-end supply chain processes, including procurement, inventory, and vendor onboarding. The analyst works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure master data meets operational and business requirements. This role operates within the Supply Chain Master Data team structure and may be primarily aligned to either Item (Parts) Master Data or Supplier (Vendor) Master Data, based on business needs. Cross-training and flexibility across both areas are expected over time to support team coverage, workload balancing, and continuous development.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
• Strong proficiency with Excel and ERP systems (Oracle Cloud preferred)
• 2-5+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, data management, ERP systems, or related operational roles
• Experience in Oilfield Services preferred (Automotive / Mechanical also a plus)
• Experience with vendor onboarding, compliance, or supplier management is an asset
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills

• Experience with data integrations, supplier systems, or process automation is considered an asset

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Create, update, and maintain:
• Item (Parts) master records
• Supplier (Vendor) profiles and site information
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and standardization across business units.
• Monitor, investigate, and resolve data discrepancies and errors.
• Manage new items and vendor requests, including onboarding and updates.
• Review and validate documentation to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements (e.g., SOX).
• Partner with Legal to support Master Service Agreements (MSAs) and vendor compliance requirements.
• Provide guidance to stakeholders on processes, policies, and requirements.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Warehouse, Operations, Maintenance, Finance, and Legal teams.
• Ensure master data supports purchasing, inventory, and payment processes.
• Serve as a key point of contact for master data-related inquiries.
• Develop, maintain, and document master data naming conventions, standards, and governance practices.
• Identify trends and patterns impacting data quality and escalate as needed.
• Support mass data updates for business changes, product launches, and projects.
• Identify and drive opportunities for process improvement, standardization, and automation.
• Maintain and coordinate centralized documentation of supply chain processes and procedures in partnership with Procurement, Warehousing, and other functional teams.
• Balance incoming request queues with project-driven priorities and deadlines.
• Assist with reporting and analysis of item and supplier data.
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (or develop toward SME) in ERP master data modules.
