We seek candidates in Massachusetts to work remotely in a home-based office with regular and frequent travel to customer sites throughout MA. 
This position performs on-site data collection for Facility Condition Assessments (FCA), Property Condition Assessments (PCA/PCNA), and Asset Tagging / Inventory assignments across diverse property types, including Multifamily housing, senior housing, educational (K-12 and higher education), commercial, industrial, municipal, and military / federal facilities.
This position’s primary responsibility is field-based data collection -  capturing photos, quantities, and observable conditions using standardized mobile platforms. Depending on experience, team members may also assist with or prepare written reports and cost data.
Specifically, you will:
  • Conduct on-site facility and building condition assessments for multifamily, senior, educational, commercial, industrial, municipal, and federal/military properties.
  • Collect data on building systems, finishes, and site components using company software (FastField, iAuditor, AkitaBox, or Quire).
  • Perform asset tagging & inventory, labeling MEP equipment with barcodes/QRs and reconciling to client databases.
  • Capture clear, well-labeled digital photographs of systems and deficiencies.
  • Record accurate quantities, serial numbers, dimensions, ages, and condition ratings.
  • Support senior assessors and project managers with RSMeans-based cost estimating and capital-planning data (5-, 10-, and 20-year horizons).
  • Assist with report assembly and technical writing as assigned.
  • Adhere to all site safety requirements and maintain professional communication with property contacts.
We seek candidates with:
  • High school diploma or equivalent, required
  • 2+ years’ experience in building inspection, facility assessment, or related fieldwork.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational accuracy.
  • General understanding of architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and site/civil systems.
  • Proficiency with tablets, mobile apps, Microsoft Office, and digital photography.
  • Excellent written / verbal communication and teamwork skills.
  • Valid driver's license is required with no significant MVA points/violations (clean driving record).

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience performing FCAs, PCAs, or PCNAs for multifamily, senior, educational, commercial, or government facilities.
  • Familiarity with ASTM E2018, Uniformat II, and HUD CNA e-Tool.
  • Working knowledge of RSMeans or equivalent cost databases.
  • Preferred certifications (not required):
    • ICC Inspector / Plans Examiner (B1, M1, Accessibility)
    • OSHA 10 or 30-Hour Safety
    • CPSI, AHERA Asbestos Inspector, or FAA Part 107 Drone License
  • Experience using Bluebeam, Monday.com, Quire, Akitabox, or similar tools.

Additionally, you will be required to:
  • Stand / walk 6–8 hours per day on large sites.
  • Climb ladders, stairs, access roofs, attics, crawlspaces.
  • Lift / carry tools and equipment up to 30–50 lbs.
  • Work indoors and outdoors in variable weather.
  • Operate tablets and cameras for extended periods.
  • Use required PPE at all times.
  • Remote-based with frequent travel (50–75%).
  • Fieldwork in occupied and unoccupied facilities.
  • Occasional evening or weekend work may be required.
  • Typical travel assignments 3–10 days in duration.
