Job description

NATURE OF WORK

The South Windsor Health Department is seeking a qualified candidate to serve as a part time/temporary Food Inspector. This position is time limited and temporary. Approximately 12-week long assignment. Flexible hours - up to 8 hours per week. $35 per hour.

EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

The Food Inspector will conduct inspections of licensed food establishments to ensure compliance with the FDA Food Code and local health ordinances. Inspections may be scheduled during evenings or weekends based on department needs. The inspector will assist with routine food inspections and temporary events.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Mileage will be reimbursed at the current Federal mileage rate for travel between inspections. Schedule may include evenings and weekends.
