Job description

Job Title: Plastic Extrusion Operator
Shift: 4 on/4 off schedule. Hours are 7:45 pm – 8 am.
Job Summary: The role will be operating and set up of an extruder. Setting up and operating material blenders and dryer, running sheet stackers, grinding scrap, completing quality checks as well as basic maintenance and cleaning.
Duties/Responsibilities
  • Operating an extruder
  • Setting up for specific projects
  • Understanding and completing orientation test
  • Basic maintenance and upkeep of the equipment
  • Quality checks
  • Running sheet stackers/robots
  • Cleaning
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Ability to drive a forklift
  • Plastic extrusion experience
  • Ability to read a tape measure and micrometers
Education and Experience:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • At least 3 years’ experience operating an extruder
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • None
Physical Requirements:
  • This is a labor-intensive role and will require continuous lifting up to 50 lbs and bending.
This role is accountable for all aspects of department performance including safety amp; environmental, quality, reliability, production, and productivity.
