Must have medical office receptionist experience to apply. We are seeking an energetic and professional Front Desk Receptionist to be the welcoming face in a busy Ophthalmology practice. In this vital role, you will register patients, verify insurance, etc., handle multi-line phone systems, many other duties that will be required in this position and provide exceptional customer service to patients. Must be able to multi-task and be a fast learner. We are looking someone who wants to start a new career and invest in this position for many years.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly, ensuring they feel welcomed and attended to promptly
- Manage multi-line phone systems with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and customer support skills
- Schedule appointments, coordinate calendars, and assist with basic calendar management tasks
- Handle data entry, filing, and document proofreading to maintain accurate records and organized files within the EHR
- Support office management tasks such as general clerical duties
- Knowledge of Modernizing Medicine (EHR) a plus
- Proven office experience or clerical experience in a fast-paced environment
- Strong computer literacy
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently
- Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse clientele effectively
- Experience with multi-line phone systems and phone etiquette is essential
- Familiarity with office management tasks such as filing, data entry, proofreading, and calendar management
- Previous customer service or customer support experience to handle inquiries professionally
- Knowledge of medical receptionist duties is required
- Personal assistant or administrative experience that demonstrates strong time management skills
- Must be able to work well with co-workers and be a team player helping in all areas of the office as needed
