Summary
This position will assist in the Music Computer Lab as a Computer Lab Assistant.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The Computer Lab Assistants will be responsible for monitoring the Music Computer lab, maintaining a library-type atmosphere, check students in/out of facility, keep track of lab materials being used, assist students in finding materials, assist Music Department Assistant and Music Admission Coordinator as necessary. In addition, the assistants will also be required to work in tandem with Music Department Faculty, the Vocal Ensembles Assistant, and the Instrumental Ensembles Assistant to aid in the setting up and tearing down of materials for Music Department concerts and events.
Qualifications
MUST BE A STUDENT AT SAINT XAVIER UNIVERSITY
Must be Federal Work Study Eligible
Must Include a Resume and Cover Letter
Familiarity with Google Docs/Sheets. Ability to set and maintain a regular weekly routine of checking and watering pianos, as well as the physical ability to move chairs/music stands/amplifiers, and organize physical sheet music in coordination with entries in the digital instrumental library. Applicant should also be willing to work collaboratively with other student employees and Music Department Supervisors.
Description of Hours: Between 6-8 hours a week per 4-6 students. Daily monitoring of pianos should take about 30 minutes each day, every weekday; monitoring of computer lab traffic (M-F) 7 hours a day (9 am - 4 pm), Concert weekends will require extra time (as much as 3 hours per event) as needed.
