Job description

At Minit Charger LLC, the EV Charger & BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) Engineer is a system-level role to develop EV, Industrial and mobile chargers.
Role Overview:
As a Systems Engineer, you are responsible for the end-to-end product design, validation, safety compliance and product launch.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Component Selection: Evaluate and specify critical components, including power electronics (SiC-based), transformers, battery modules, and circuit protection.
  • Standards & Compliance: Ensure all designs meet UL, IEC, NEC/NFPA 70, and ISO 15118 standards. Lead functional safety efforts (DFMEA, FTA) for charging and storage systems.
  • Software/Hardware Integration: Act as the primary interface between hardware, firmware, and cloud platform to ensure seamless integration.
  • Validation & Testing: Execute Design Verification Plans (DVP&R) using functional and field tests.
Required Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelorโ€™s degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field (Masterโ€™s preferred).
  • Experience: 3-5+ years in system-level design for power electronics, EVSE, or energy storage systems.
  • Technical Knowledge: * Deep understanding of high-voltage DC/DC and AC/DC power conversion.
  • Strong knowledge of CAN Bus, power electronics components and their integrations with embedded systems.
  • Familiarity with battery management systems (BMS) and BESS integration.
  • Safety: Strong experience with functional safety standards, UL2231, 2201, 9540.
