Job description

We are rebel watchmakers with a purpose. Established in 1854 as the Waterbury Clock Company, we took a traditional European watchmaking and layered American industrial ingenuity on top. That is when we began our journey to disrupt a 300 year old industry. Timex took mantle clocks made from wood and made them out of metal and made them faster and affordable for everyone. We took the pocket watch, added a strap and put it on your wrist. Today our design lab in Milan designs the most beautiful watches for consumers around the world. Come join our team, make a difference and wear watches from Timex and some of the biggest brands in the world.

Summary

The Account Manager will own the day-to-day management and growth of the Cruise/Travel Retail and Military business channels across the full Timex Group brand portfolio. This role is responsible for driving sales, distribution, and profitability within these specialized channels, executing brand strategy at the account level, and serving as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts. The ideal candidate brings direct experience in Cruise/Travel Retail and/or Military retail channels and understands the unique operating dynamics of these accounts (duty-free, onboard retail, exchange/commissary structures, etc.).

Responsibilities

Account Management & Sales Execution

  • Manage and grow relationships with Cruise/Travel Retail and Military accounts (e.g., exchange services, duty-free operators, cruise line retail partners) across GUESS, Timex, and FLD.

  • Own the full order lifecycle: line reviews, order entry, delivery tracking, and replenishment management.

  • Deliver against sales, ST%, and door count targets for assigned accounts by brand.

Distribution & Assortment Planning

  • Partner with merchandising and planning teams to build seasonal assortments tailored to Cruise/Travel and Military shopper profiles.

  • Identify and pursue new door and SKU distribution opportunities within existing and prospective accounts.

  • Manage SMU/exclusive program development where applicable to these channels.

Business Analysis & Reporting

  • Monitor POS, sell-through, and inventory turns; translate data into actionable recommendations for account-level growth.

  • Prepare regular business reviews and forecasts for internal leadership and account partners.

  • Track and report on channel-specific KPIs (door count, distribution, ST%, POS growth).

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Coordinate with supply chain/logistics on drop ship and replenishment programs specific to Cruise/Travel and Military account requirements.

  • Work with marketing on channel-appropriate merchandising, POP, and promotional support.

  • Liaise with finance on pricing, terms, and account profitability.

Relationship & Channel Development

  • Serve as the primary account contact, building strong day-to-day relationships with buying and merchandising teams.

  • Represent the full brand portfolio at trade shows, line reviews, and on-site account visits as needed.

  • Stay current on Cruise/Travel Retail and Military channel trends, competitive activity, and regulatory/operational requirements unique to these channels.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

  • 3-5+ years of account management or sales experience in wholesale/retail, ideally within watches, accessories, or a related consumer goods category.

  • Direct experience with the Cruise/Travel Retail and/or Military retail channels strongly preferred.

  • Proficiency with retail math and core merchandising metrics: ST%, POS growth, inventory turns, door counts.

  • Strong Excel skills; experience with retail planning or order management systems a plus.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.

  • Ability to travel as needed for account visits, line reviews, and trade shows.

Preferred

  • Existing relationships within Cruise/Travel Retail and/or Military exchange/commissary buying organizations.

  • Experience within traditional wholesale channels (e.g., department store, specialty retail).

  • Experience managing a multi-brand portfolio.

  • Familiarity with drop ship and replenishment program management.

In addition to our wide product offering, Timex Group offers the following benefits:

  • 401K

  • Robust Medical, Dental, Vision Plans

  • Generous Company Holidays/Vacation

  • Extended Sick and Personal

  • Hybrid Remote Office Policy

  • Summer Fridays all year long!

  • Parental Leave Policy
