Job description

Are you an experienced, passionate pioneer in technology who wants to work in a collaborative environment? As an experienced Exchange-Traded Derivatives (ETD) Financial Analyst - Consultant, Strategy, Growth, and Transformation you will have the ability to share new ideas and collaborate on projects as a consultant without the extensive demands of travel. If so, consider an opportunity with Deloitte under our Project Delivery Talent Model. Project Delivery Model (PDM) is a talent model that is tailored specifically for long-term, onsite client service delivery.

Work you'll do/Responsibilities

As an Exchange-Traded Derivatives (ETD) Financial Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in driving complex data migrations and operational transformations for capital markets and financial services clients. In this client-facing technical role, you will leverage deep functional knowledge of ETD clearing platforms, exchange workflows, margin processes, and post-trade operations to ensure seamless transitions during large-scale technology transformations. You will bridge the gap between technical data engineering and business operations, utilizing advanced SQL to interrogate large datasets, conduct functional analysis for reconciliations, manage mandatory regulatory reporting, and guarantee the integrity of client financial data across listed derivatives lifecycles.

ETD Data Migration: Drive end-to-end ETD data migration activities on complex financial services technology programs for clients. Ensure strict data integrity of listed derivatives positions, trades, and margin records from legacy systems to modern target architectures across futures and options asset classes.

Functional Analysis & Reporting: Lead functional analysis for complex ETD financial reconciliations including position, margin, and cash reconciliations, ensuring strict alignment with exchange, clearinghouse, and mandatory regulatory reporting requirements such as European Market Infrastructure Regulation (EMIR), Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), and Markets in Financial Instruments Directive II (MiFID II).

ETD Clearing & Exchange Workflow Management: Navigate and extract data from ETD clearing platforms, specifically GMI (Global Market Infrastructure) and/or XTP, actively managing and validating data structures related to trade registration, clearing workflows, daily settlement, variation margin, and expiry/exercise processes.

Advanced Data Analysis & Resolution: Interrogate large, complex ETD datasets to proactively identify data quality issues, validate complex trade and position data mappings, and drive swift resolution to maintain project timelines across multi-asset listed derivatives environments.

Technical Translation & Client Communication: Translate highly complex technical findings, SQL query results, and migration roadblocks into clear, actionable business language for non-technical executive client stakeholders, maintaining confidence and transparency throughout project delivery.

Communicate regularly with Engagement Managers (Directors), project team members, and representatives from various functional and / or technical teams, including escalating any matters that require additional attention and consideration from engagement management

Independently and collaboratively lead client engagement workstreams focused on improvement, optimization, and transformation of processes including implementing leading practice workflows, addressing deficits in quality, and driving operational outcomes

The successful candidate would possess these skills:

  • Ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a team
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
