Job description

We are looking for a Head of Supplier Quality & Compliance to build and lead our supplier quality function across a global network of aftermarket and OE suppliers. This leader will define the standards, systems, and accountability mechanisms that ensure every part we sell meets our quality bar and reinforces the trust our customers place in us.
This role sits at the intersection of Product, Vendor Relations, Supply Chain, Operations, and Customer Experience. It will play a critical role in reducing defects, improving supplier performance, and enabling scalable growth without compromising quality.
Quality is at the core of the FCP Euro brand. This role will directly impact customer trust, repeat purchase behavior, and our ability to scale profitably.
You will define what “good” looks like for our global supplier base and build the systems and accountability to deliver it consistently.
FCP Euro is the trusted home and online destination for European car owners and professionals. Family-owned since 1986, our mission is to make European vehicle ownership more enjoyable and enduring by delivering the highest quality parts, knowledge, and support people can rely on.  At FCP Euro, we exist to empower owners and professionals with the confidence and support to care for their European cars properly. That commitment has made us more than a retailer, but a long-term partner for those who value quality, expertise, and trust throughout the life of their vehicle.
Key Responsibilities
Build the Supplier Quality Foundation
  • Define and execute FCP Euro’s supplier quality strategy aligned to our growth, customer promise, and Lifetime Replacement Guarantee
  • Establish scalable supplier onboarding, audit, and qualification processes tailored to the automotive aftermarket
  • Develop and enforce quality standards across diverse categories
Set Supplier Standards & Raise the Bar
  • Build and implement clear supplier requirement documentation across packaging, inbound conditions, labeling, and product data
    • Up level product packaging to ensure product protection, warehouse efficiency, and a premium unboxing experience by ensuring product is arriving from our supplier base undamaged and in good condition.
    • Define inbound handling and shipment preparation standards to reduce damage, OS&D, and receiving friction
    • Establish labeling and identification standards (barcode accuracy, compliance labeling, country of origin, etc.) to support fulfillment precision
    • Partner with Product and Vendor Relations to ensure complete, accurate, and scalable SKU level data that supports fitment accuracy and customer confidence
    • Partner with Supply Planning and Product teams to build out standards for OTIF by supplier type
Drive Accountability Through a Chargeback Program
  • Design and launch a Supplier Chargeback Program focused on packaging defects, labeling errors, data gaps, and inbound quality failures
    • Establish governance, thresholds, and financial mechanisms that are transparent, consistent, and aligned with supplier agreements
    • Use chargeback insights to drive behavior change, improve supplier performance, and reduce cost-to-serve over time
Monitor Performance & Reduce Risk
  • In partnership w/Vendor Relations, Product and Operations, build and manage supplier scorecards across key KPIs (defect rates, returns, warranty claims, NCRs, fulfillment accuracy)
    • Lead root cause analysis and CAPA processes with suppliers, driving urgency and ownership
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks across the supply base before they impact customers
Build Scalable Quality Processes
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to implement standards for quality validation processes including reverse engineering, dimensional checks, material verification, and fitment validation
  • Ensure compliance with applicable standards (SAE, ISO, etc.) and regulatory requirements as needed
  • Review and improve the processes to manage recalls, warranty trends, NCRs and high impact quality issues.
Lead & Scale the Function
  • As needed, build and mentor a high performing supplier quality team (engineers, auditors, analysts)
  • Act as the internal voice of quality across the full product lifecycle, from sourcing to customer delivery
  • Partner with Product, Vendor Relations, and Supply Planning to evaluate supplier capabilities and support assortment expansion
What We’re Looking For
  • 10+ years of experience in supplier quality, manufacturing, or supply chain, with strong exposure to the automotive aftermarket
  • Deep understanding of OE, OEM, and aftermarket dynamics
  • Proven experience building supplier quality programs and driving measurable improvement in performance and cost
  • Strong command of quality methodologies (PPAP, APQP, FMEA, 8D, SPC, root cause analysis)
  • Experience working with global suppliers across Europe, Asia, and North America
  • Ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a fast-growing, hands-on environment
  • Data-driven mindset with experience leveraging ERP/QMS systems
Benefits & Perks
  • Company-subsidized Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance, including a zero-premium Medical plan for employees. Company HSA contribution.
  • 120 hours of PTO (Paid Time Off), 40 hours of Paid Sick Time, plus Company Holidays
  • 401 (k) with Company deposit and match.
  • Discounted prices on our catalog of European car parts!
 Compensation:
This is an exempt role with a base salary of $160,000 - $200,000 depending on experience, with a total compensation opportunity of $195,200 to $244,000 annually.
