Job description

Summary: Diamondback is seeking an experienced Marketing Specialist to support the administration of the company's upstream natural gas and NGL commercial agreements. This position will be responsible for managing the full contract lifecycle, maintaining contractual records and obligations, administering the Marketing ETRM platform, and serving as a key liaison between Marketing, Legal, Accounting, Land, Operations, GIS, and external counterparties.
The ideal candidate will have experience with natural gas gathering, processing, transportation, dedication, and NGL agreements, along with strong contract administration and commercial systems expertise. This role requires a highly organized professional who can manage complex commercial agreements, ensure data integrity within the ETRM system, and support the commercial execution of Diamondback's gas marketing strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Include but are not limited to
  • Administer upstream natural gas and NGL gathering, processing, transportation, dedication, and related commercial agreements.

  • Coordinate contract drafting, execution, amendments, notices, and contract compliance requirements.

  • Maintain contract summaries, critical dates, acreage dedications, volume commitments, and contractual obligations.

  • Serve as the business administrator for the Marketing ETRM system, ensuring accurate setup and maintenance of contracts, commercial terms, and related data.

  • Maintain data integrity, generate reports, and support commercial, accounting, and operational workflows within the ETRM platform.

  • Coordinate with Legal, Accounting, Land, Regulatory, Operations, and external counterparties regarding contract administration matters.

  • Track contractual obligations, notice requirements, development commitments, and other key commercial provisions.

  • Support acquisition, divestiture, and acreage trade due diligence activities.

  • Identify and implement process improvements related to contract administration, reporting, and system management.

Required Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Energy Commerce, Legal Studies, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in natural gas marketing, NGL marketing, midstream commercial operations, contract administration, or related disciplines.

  • Experience administering gathering, processing, transportation, dedication, and NGL agreements.

  • Experience maintaining commercial data within an ETRM, contract management, or settlement platform.

  • Strong understanding of commercial contract terms, acreage dedications, MVCs, development obligations, and related midstream agreements.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and reporting skills.

  • Working knowledge of AI tools and technologies, including practical applications for contract administration, reporting, data management, and process improvement.

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and relationship management skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Energy Commerce, Legal Studies, or a related field.

  • Experience with Permian Basin gas gathering and processing agreements.

  • Experience supporting upstream producer operations.

  • Experience with ETRM administration, testing, reporting, and system enhancements.

  • Knowledge of contract lifecycle management systems and gas/NGL settlement processes.

  • Proven ability to work independently and manage a large portfolio of commercial agreements.
