Job description

THIS IS AN INDIANA NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION
This position is in the Excepted Service under the authority of Title V, P.L. 114-328, Sections 932 and 1084 (FY17 NDAA)
This position is part of the IN JFHQ IN J1, Indiana National Guard under Position Description Number PD#T57014P1.

Compiling reports, letters, memoranda, etc., and required person-to-person contacts to convey information. Progressively responsible experience which demonstrates the ability to provide technical guidance and assistance in the type of work or in comparable?? work of the position to be filled. Experience using computer and automation systems.
AND
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: 1 year specialized experience, education or training equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Applicants must have experience providing technical guidance and assistance in the type of work or in comparable work of the position to be filled. Applicants must have a thorough knowledge and understanding of administrative procedures and practices of management. Experience developing administrative procedures. Knowledge required in applying analytical and evaluative techniques to identify, consider, and resolve issues or problems of a procedural or factual nature.

Indiana National Guard (INNG) Federal Technicians will wait 36 months after being selected for a new position before applying for another position within the INNG. If you received a promotion, reassignment, or grade reduction through a USAJobs announcement within the last 36 months, you will need an ETP memo.

The memorandum will be written by you, the employee, and signed by your supervisory chain up to the Director level. Directors and Supervisors will submit the signed memorandum for final review to the HRO Staffing inbox: ng.in.inarng.mbx.hro-staffing-section@army.mil

The Human Resources Officer (HRO) is the final approval for all ETP waivers. If approved, the memorandum will be returned to you and then submitted with your application.

Applicants who meet one of the DoD Priority Placement Program (PPP) categories below are eligible to apply with this preference. (See Required Documents section)

Education:To receive credit for Education, you must provide transcripts or documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position.
You may combine education with specialized experience to meet the length of experience requirement for GS-09. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the line of work.
For the GS-09 level: To qualify on education alone applicant must have one of the following: master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related.
Only graduate education in excess of the amount required for the next lower grade level may be used to qualify applicants for positions at grade GS-09 including for combination of education and specialized experience.Employment Type: OTHER
