Emergency Veterinarian – Ethos ER Immerse Mentorship Program – Pensacola, FL

Join our Veterinary Emergency Referral Center where new graduates and general practitioners can benefit from a structured mentorship program that pairs each trainee with experienced Emergency DVMs.

Program Overview & Commitment

The ER Immerse Program is a 6‑month hybrid curriculum designed to prepare veterinarians for a sustainable career in emergency medicine. The program includes simulation-based didactics and live patient training, competency‑based assessment, and regular virtual didactic rounds.

  • Program duration approximately 6 months, with flexible start dates.
  • 2-year commitment as an ER clinician at VERC following training.
  • Support from specialty services during training.
  • Surgical training offered.
  • Always work with a dedicated mentor on shifts.
  • No on‑call schedule during the program.
  • Weekly live virtual didactic rounds, including ER and Critical Care Rounds and Journal Clubs.
  • Regular live continuing education events led by specialists and experienced emergency doctors.
