Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Estimating Manager/ Estimator/Project Manager to join our estimating team in the commercial storefront industry. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in storefront, curtain wall, glass, and door estimating. This role requires a proactive leader who can effectively negotiate contracts, manage project costs, and ensure accurate pricing for various construction projects. Often times, the estimator will assist as Assistant PM to help transition the job from contract to order procurement and installation. The Estimating Manager will play a crucial role in building relationships with clients and stakeholders while overseeing the estimating process from start to finish.

Duties

  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of all estimates.
  • Utilize software tools such as PlanHub and WindBid Pro for efficient estimation processes.
  • Analyze project plans and specifications to prepare detailed cost estimates.
  • Negotiate contracts with clients and subcontractors to secure favorable terms.
  • Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to ensure alignment on project scopes and budgets.
  • Implement cost control measures to monitor expenses throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and pricing strategies.
  • Conduct regular reviews of estimates to identify areas for improvement and enhance accuracy.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in glass and glazing estimating or related field, with a focus on cost control.
  • Proficiency in using Plan Hub, WinBid Pro, or similar estimating software.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build effective relationships with clients and stakeholders.
