HDR seeks a strategic-minded Senior Project Manager to join our Alaska Resources Business Group and be a member of a high-performing team supporting development of public and private projects throughout Alaska.
Primary Responsibilities:
In the role of Senior Project Manager, we'll count on you to:
  • Lead and manage multidiciplinary project teams.
  • Oversee all phases of projct development ensuring delivery within scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Develop and review scopes of work, cost estimates, and schedules.
  • Implement QA/QC procedures.
  • Coordinate internal project tasks and manage external subconsultants to meet project objectives.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Ensure coordination of deliverables and consistent communication between team members.
  • Conduct team meetings to duscuss productivity, workload distribution, and quality control.
  • Collaborate with HDR leadership to monitor project workload and resource needs.
  • Work with the Accounting, Operational, and Business leadership for periodic project reviews.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Candidates must be able to work cooperatively with professional from other disciplines, staff at all levels, clients, other project managers, business development professionals, and operational leadership.
This is a full-time regular position based in our Anchorage, Alaska office.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Experience leading engineering and/or environmental regulatory projects.
  • Familiarity with estimating and scheduling software, and project management software.
  • Local candidates are preferred.

  • 10 years related experience
  • A minimum of 5 years of project management experience
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office, estimating and scheduling software, project management software
  • Must have the ability to interact with various design teams, have excellent organizational, project management and communication (both written and verbal) skills
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
