Job description

Description

  Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned as needed): 

  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on chiller and boiler units, including electrical and mechanical components.
  • Follow all EPA guidelines related to refrigerant recovery and replacement of O-rings, gaskets, seals, bearings, sleeve Babbitt, thrust/counterthrust, and roller bearings.
  • Conduct boiler inspections and preventive maintenance teardowns in accordance with current state code requirements.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair chillers, industrial refrigeration systems, and commercial HVAC equipment.
  • Perform maintenance on HVAC equipment, including atmospheric boilers and water-cooled chillers.
  • Support the sales team with estimating and technical input as needed.
  • Assist the Service Coordinator with scheduling and coordinating service work.
  • Install, calibrate, inspect, service, and repair cooling tower equipment and machinery.
  • Communicate with customers regarding equipment status, repair progress, and recommended solutions.
  • Maintain accountability for assigned tools, equipment, and supplies.
  • Complete all required service documentation accurately and timely.

Requirements

 Requirements/Education:

  • 5 years minimum experience
  • Post-secondary vocational or technical school diploma in HVAC or Refrigeration from an accredited Institution required OR a recognized apprenticeship program
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must have a clean driving record
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities and unexpected situations
  • Must be a team player and successfully juggle and complete multiple priorities
