Job description

Direct Counsel is seeking a Real Estate Associate Attorney to join a highly respected Am Law firm.

Location: Portland, Oregon
Practice Area: Real Estate
Experience: 3–6 years
Compensation: $250,000–$340,000

This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with 3–6 years of sophisticated transactional real estate experience, particularly involving finance, acquisitions, and dispositions, to join the firm’s Portland office.

The ideal candidate will have substantial experience handling:

  • Commercial real estate acquisitions and dispositions
  • Real estate finance transactions
  • Loan documentation and closing support
  • Title and survey review
  • Due diligence and transaction management
  • Drafting and negotiating core transaction documents
  • Managing significant workstreams with meaningful autonomy

Leasing and joint venture experience is a plus, though not required.

Candidates should bring:

  • Strong commercial real estate transactional knowledge
  • Excellent drafting, writing, and analytical skills
  • Immediate transferable deal experience
  • Strong academic credentials
  • Active Oregon Bar admission required
  • California or Washington Bar admission is a plus
