Job description

Stinson LLP seeks an Attorney with at least two years of commercial real estate experience to join our Minneapolis office. Our nationally recognized commercial real estate practice represents developers, institutional investors, lenders, REITs, private equity funds, hospitality companies, and other sophisticated clients in complex real estate transactions throughout the United States.
Qualified candidates must have an active Minnesota attorney license, at least two years of experience in complex commercial real estate transactions, including purchase and sale, financing, and leasing. We also welcome real estate development and finance experience. Experience with acquisitions and dispositions, development, commercial leasing, real estate finance, title and survey matters, joint ventures, and related transactional work is desirable. Candidates must possess excellent academic credentials and have strong research, writing, analytical, organizational and communication skills. We also value and welcome judicial clerkship experience.
Successful candidates will work directly with partners and clients and will have meaningful responsibility for drafting and negotiating transaction documents, managing due diligence, coordinating closings, and advising clients throughout the transaction process.
The position offers significant mentoring, training, and opportunities for professional development within a collaborative commercial real estate practice. We seek attorneys interested in building a long-term practice and advancing within the Firm.
Our attorneys routinely collaborate across offices on sophisticated transactions nationwide, providing associates with broad exposure to clients, industries, and deal structures.
We value attorneys who are collaborative, entrepreneurial, practical, and committed to exceptional client service. Associates are encouraged to develop strong client relationships and progressively assume lead responsibility on transactions.
We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package. In addition to competitive compensation and benefits, Stinson offers performance-based bonus opportunities and a collaborative, flexible work environment.
Please apply online. Applicants should provide a resume, cover letter, unofficial law school transcript and a writing sample. For questions, contact recruiting@stinson.com. Please submit your application by no later than 45 days following the posted date. Applications received after this date may not be considered.
Recruiter submissions are welcome.
At Stinson LLP, we are committed to the success of our attorneys. We are equally committed to providing competitive, affordable health and wellness benefits to help take care of yourself and your family, including:
  • Medical, dental, and vision health plans
  • Medical savings accounts
  • Firm-provided Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and Wellness Program
  • Employer-paid life insurance and AD&D
  • Short- and long-term disability benefits
  • Generous paid time off for holidays, vacation, bereavement, jury duty, and attorney leave for various reasons, including birth or adoption of a child and personal and/or family health; generous paid military leave
  • Paid bar dues, approved bar association memberships and CLE expenses
  • Excellent work-life programs, including service bonuses, back-up child and elder care, and employee discount program

Our attorney compensation structure has two components: (1) a base salary (based on an 1850 billable hour target) and (2) a discretionary merit bonus based on performance. The base salary range for this role is $200,000 - 275,000. The salary range for this position is based on a variety of factors, including experience, skills, qualifications, and location. The range is provided as an initial approximation at the time of posting and may vary based on the individual's unique qualifications and experience.
