Full-Time Formal Estate Housekeeper needed in San Antonio, Texas

Location: San Antonio, TX
Schedule: MondayFriday, 8:30 AM5:00 PM, half-hour lunch break - with occasional weekend availability as needed
Salary: $30$35/hour, commensurate with experience

A private family in San Antonio, TX is seeking an experienced and professional Full-Time Estate Housekeeper to join their established household staff. The family resides in a beautiful approximately 9000-square-foot, two-story home. The household consists of two busy executives, three children, and one small dog.

The family currently employs a two-person housekeeping team, with one housekeeper preparing to transition out of the role. They are seeking a strong, experienced professional who can step in confidently, work alongside the remaining housekeeper, and help maintain the exceptional standards already established within the home.

This is a white-glove household where attention to detail, excellent linen care, organization, and beautiful presentation are extremely important. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a large luxury private residence and will be comfortable taking ownership of their responsibilities without requiring constant direction. They should naturally notice what needs attention and take initiative to ensure the home is consistently maintained to a polished, hotel-level standard.

The principals are frequently home throughout the day, so the ability to work discreetly and seamlessly around the family is essential. The household has an established staff and values professionalism, teamwork, positivity, and strong boundaries. The family is specifically looking for someone who works well with others, communicates professionally, and contributes to a respectful, drama-free household environment.

Responsibilities
  • Perform detailed daily and deep cleaning throughout the approximately 9,000-square-foot residence
  • Maintain bedrooms, bathrooms, living spaces, and common areas to exceptional standards
  • Provide white-glove care of fine furnishings, finishes, surfaces, and household items
  • Manage household laundry and linens, including washing, ironing, steaming, folding, and proper storage
  • Maintain beds, bathrooms, and guest spaces with a polished, luxury hotel-style presentation
  • Keep closets, storage areas, and household spaces neat and organized
  • Proactively identify areas requiring attention and complete tasks without continual direction
  • Work collaboratively with the other housekeeper and established household staff
  • Maintain discretion and respect the family's privacy at all times
  • Work quietly and efficiently around the principals and children while they are home
  • Assist with maintaining the overall presentation and readiness of the residence
  • Potentially assist with training or overseeing an additional junior housekeeper if the household team expands
Qualifications
  • Prior professional housekeeping experience in a large, luxury private residence is required
  • Strong knowledge of white-glove cleaning techniques and proper care of high-end surfaces, furnishings, and materials
  • Excellent laundry, linen care, ironing, and garment-care skills
  • Experience working as part of an established private household staff
