SteelSeries is seeking a highly skilled Technical Copywriter with a strong background in consumer technology, gaming peripherals, and interactive entertainment to create and edit written content across multiple channels. This role is responsible for transforming complex technical concepts into clear, compelling, and accurate written global marketing content focused on hardware products in the video gaming accessory category.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Develop, maintain, and refine primary messaging resources and frameworks for hardware products, software integrations, and global campaigns.
  • Translate technical specifications and engineering details into consumer-friendly narratives.
  • Write and edit copy for digital product pages, Amazon listings, packaging, sales training documents, emails, paid media assets, and more
  • Produce longform content such as technical guides, blog posts, and product explainers
  • Collaborate with marketing, brand, product, design, and software teams to ensure unified messaging
  • Utilize SEO tools and AI-driven content systems to identify content opportunities and optimize messaging
  • Uphold brand voice consistency, accuracy, and tone across all mediums.
  • Manage review workflows and maintain editorial standards
  • Compile input from key stakeholders to refine and adapt messaging

What We're Looking For

  • Strong technical writing capabilities with the ability to transform complex technical concepts into benefit-driven consumer stories
  • Proven experience writing for gaming peripherals, consumer electronics, or video games
  • 3-5 years professional writing experience, with at least 2 years in consumer tech, gaming hardware, software, or adjacent industries
  • Mastery of grammar, editing, and brand voice development with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fastpaced environment.
  • Experience with agentic AI workflows for content ideation and technical summarization
  • SEO tools and workflow familiarity for content optimization
  • Ability to follow established style guides (AP and brand-specific)

    Location & Work Arrangement

  • This position is fully remote and open to candidates located anywhere within the United States.
  • An optional office base is available in Chicago, IL for candidates who prefer a hybrid or in-office environment, but relocation is not required.
  • Standard business hours are generally Monday through Friday, approximately 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM CT. Due to collaboration with global teams based in Denmark and Eastern Europe, occasional early morning meetings may be expected depending on the candidate's time zone.
