Job description

Passaic County Community College is seeking candidates to teach in the ELS Reading and Writing Labs in both day and evening schedules.


Specific Functions:

  • The candidate will teach assigned ELS lab classes following the ELS Lab Academic Calendar and syllabus.
  • Meet lab sessions as scheduled for the full period.
  • Maintain accurate student attendance/grade records and submit them to the Director of ELS Tutoring Services when requested.
  • Utilize the appropriate technology to fulfill teaching duties.
  • Participate in the ELS Department activities, including meetings as needed.


Required Background:

  • Teaching experience is required
  • Master's in ESL, English, Teaching or related field required


The completion of a background check will be required for the selected candidate.

Compensation: The minimum pay for this position is $25 per hour.
