Apple is seeking a Manager, GSSM to lead a team that manages strategic planning, long term deal structuring and negotiations. This position requires the ability to work with procurement, engineering, finance and legal teams and also third-party suppliers. Position requires strong quantitative and analytical skills, critical thinking, and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Description
- Team Development: Coach and mentor junior individual contributors to accelerate their onboarding across Apple-specific processes, supplier ecosystems, and stakeholder expectations.
- Operational Continuity: The combined portfolio demands consistent senior oversight to cultivate deep relationships with wireless semiconductor suppliers (including upstream materials suppliers), drive negotiations, maintain execution quality, and ensure nothing falls through the cracks across concurrent work streams.
- Industry Expertise : Deep knowledge in the wireless silicon ecosystem. Familiarity with technologies such as eSIM, NFC, WiFi, Bluetooth, Cellular. Knowledge on cost modeling including wafer cost and package (WLCSP, RF modules etc.)
- Strategic Initiatives: Formation and execution of wireless / RF supply chain strategy to advance team wide priorities including cost modeling, new supplier development, and emerging technology investigations through deep engineering collaboration.
- Scalability: As Gen AI capabilities advance, leverage AI Agents and tools to keep up with increasing complexity and growing business needs without degrading quality or understanding.
- Business continuity planning : Continuously see around corners by anticipating potential risks and establishing sourcing criteria to proactively mitigate risks in a dynamic market environment.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors' degree
Minimum of 8 years of experience in supply chain design and optimization, supplier sourcing and procurement negotiation, supply management and operations, cost modeling and financial analysis
5+ years of management experience
Preferred Qualifications
Strong procurement/supply chain experience with a proven track record of success
MBA or M.S. degree a plus
