Job description

Overview

The Environmental Social Governance (ESG) Program Management Office (PMO) Associate Manager will support the ESG Reporting Council by managing integrated project plans, governance routines, and the cross-functional coordination required to advance ESG regulatory reporting readiness. Reporting to the Director of ESG PMO, this role will partner closely with Strategy & Transformation, Control, Data Control/Business Integration, People, Finance, and other global and sector teams to track progress, manage risks and dependencies, and ensure deliverables are documented, approved, and completed in line with program requirements.

This position requires a highly organized project management professional who can influence across teams without direct authority, translate complex workstream updates into clear leadership-ready communications, and maintain consistent visibility into status, delays, decisions, and delivery impacts. The Associate Manager will play a key role in preparing project governance materials, supporting change management and audit coordination, and helping ensure the program remains on track for regulatory reporting readiness (e.g., CA 253, CSRD, ISSB, etc.).

The successful candidate will bring strong project management discipline, excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, and proficiency with Smartsheet or similar project management tools, Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Microsoft 365 collaboration tools. The role also requires a practical, responsible approach to using PepsiCo-approved AI-enabled tools and analytics to improve project tracking, reporting efficiency, risk identification, and the consistency of governance materials.

Responsibilities
  • Lead project administration and management for the Strategy & Transformation, Control, Data Control/Business Integration, People, EHS, and Finance teams supporting the ESG Reporting Council
  • Coordinate activities across program teams and related global and sector functions, where required
  • Actively manage risks and dependencies across multiple workstreams
  • Ensure deliverables are accurately documented, tracked, and approved in accordance with requirements.
  • Support of change management activities as required
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including leaders, consulting partners, and deliverable owners, and serve as a credible point of contact for each project team
  • Prepare materials for project status reviews, operating committee meetings, and other governance forums including those targeting executive level audiences
  • Ensure project management artifacts provide consistent, accurate, and timely updates
  • Leverage approved AI-enabled tools to streamline project reporting, synthesize workstream updates, identify risks or dependencies, and improve the consistency of governance materials

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $93,500 - $156,450.
  • Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 10% of annual salary paid out annually.
  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 5+ years of project management experience
  • 2+ years of experience working within or directly supporting global or sector Strategy and Transformation teams, particularly those supporting Data transformation and reporting
  • Experience with Smartsheet or similar project management software
  • Demonstrate a high level of proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel, including data import/export, general spreadsheet use, and the use of Microsoft CoPilot
  • Experience using additional Microsoft tools such as SharePoint, Teams, and Outlook
  • Prior experience with data analytics tools (PowerBI, Power Automate) and techniques to develop and maintain program insights to stakeholders and leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to use AI-enabled tools responsibly to improve project tracking, reporting, communication, and process efficiency
  • This position is limited to persons with indefinite right to work in the United States

Preferred:

  • Prior ESG Reporting experience 
  • Previous experience with operational controls, governance, and compliance across IT initiatives
  • Previous experience in a Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) company (internal or consulting)
  • PMP and/or Agile certifications are a plus

  • Excellent communication skills with a demonstrated ability to communicate recommendations and processes clearly and concisely
