Job description

Volunteers provide support and assistance for Saint Therese Pastoral Care staff with escorting residents to and from the chapel and/or faith-based programs at IHM.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Pastoral Care staff with escorting residents to chapel for faith-based programs.
  • Return residents to their desired location at program’s end.

Abilities Required:

  • Able to operate the elevator including use of on and off switches.
  • Able to locate the resident’s name and room number to transport resident to and from destinations.
  • Able to stand and walk comfortably.
  • Able to operate wheelchairs safely.
  • Have a good understanding of state laws protecting vulnerable adults and reporting mandates.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines.
  • Able to follow health and safety standards.
  • Have good customer service skills.
  • Patience with changes.
