Therapeutic Recreation Assistant - Per Diem

$16/hr - $18.40/hr

Are you someone who find joy in bringing smiles to others and creating meaningful moments? We're looking for a compassionate and creative Therapeutic Recreation Assistant to help enrich the lives of our resident through engaging programs and thoughtful connection.

In this role, you'll play an important part in planning and leading activities that reflect the unique interests and abilities of each resident. You'll also assist with safe transportation during outings and contribute to a warm, supportive environment that feels like home.

Schedule:

Mondays: 3:00PM - 7:00PM

Thursdays: 3:00PM - 7:00PM

Weekends as Needed: Saturday and Sunday 10:00AM - 5:00PM

Rate:

$16/hr - $18.40/hr (depending on experience)

*Annual Flu Vaccinations Required*

Valid Driver's License Required

Education/Experience Requirements:
Must possess as a minimum a high school diploma or its equivalent along with certification as an activity aide or be eligible to become certified.
Must possess a class "C" driver's license.
Able to speak, write, read and understand English.
Knowledge of computer software including use of outlook, word, excel and publisher.
Able to to make mature judgements in personnel matters, health & safety issues and crisis situations.
Self motivated, self starter needing minimal supervision.


Physical Requirements/Environmental Conditions:
Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
Walks, bends, lifts, stoops and stands the majority of the day.
Frequent pushing of wheelchairs, tables, carts.
Involves retrieval of equipment and supplies from various storage locations.
Duties involves trips away from facility. Driving, loading individuals/walkers and wheelchairs onto the van or bus.
