Department: ERP Implementation / Consulting
Location: Onsite/Remote (As required by project)
Type: Full-time / Contract
1. Position Summary
The ERP Functional Consultant is responsible for analyzing business requirements, mapping them to ERP system capabilities, and ensuring successful configuration, testing, deployment, and support of ERP modules. This role collaborates with business users, technical teams, and project managers to implement end-to-end ERP solutions.
2. Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering
Conduct workshops with business stakeholders to document requirements.
Analyze existing processes and recommend best-practice ERP solutions.
Develop functional specifications and business process documents.
ERP Configuration & Implementation
Configure ERP modules (Finance / HR / Procurement / Payroll / Budget / Grants, etc.).
Perform system setup, validation, and testing.
Identify gaps and create workaround or enhancement recommendations.
Testing & Quality Assurance
Create test scenarios, test scripts, and validate functional flows.
Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and defect resolution.
Training & Documentation
Prepare end-user training materials and conduct training sessions.
Document SOPs, process flows, and configuration details.
Post-Implementation Support
Provide hyper-care / go-live support.
Troubleshoot functional issues and coordinate with technical teams.
3. Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Accounting, HR, or related field.
3-7 years of experience as an ERP Functional Consultant.
Strong knowledge of ERP modules such as Finance, HR, Payroll, Procurement, Budgeting.
Ability to translate business requirements into ERP configurations.
Excellent documentation and communication skills.
Experience supporting large ERP implementations for government or enterprise clients preferred.
4. Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Munis, Oracle, Workday, SAP, Infor, Microsoft Dynamics, or other major ERP systems.
Certification in relevant ERP modules.
Experience with change management and cross-functional coordination.
