Designation:-RF Engineer

Location: Charlotte-NC

Duration: 4+ Months(Contract, with possible extension) on W2

Job Description

  • Responsible for contributing in the work for In-building team to support on in building, special event and large scale DAS
  • Optimization and project management of complex large venues like stadiums & airports, Arenas , rack track, DAS and small cell design to offload network capacity
  • Working with RF Teams for monitoring and trending of capacity to ensure meets network performance needs of LTE/VoLTE RAN network
  • Interfaces with Real Estate, Construction, Project Management & Sales team to support project related activities, periodic updates, team meetings, attend site walks To perform various engineering task including but not limited to :Identify and evaluate DAS or distributed RAN solution feasibility and design objective, produce design using Client based standards and tool ( iBwave proficient & L2/L3 certified preferred), site survey, design documentation, DAS Integration & commissioning.
  • Support, Pre and post launch Optimization, Event Monitoring, and Report generation as well as Optimization of voice and data on LTE network
  • Suitable candidate should have hands on experience on DAS architecture, overlays (LTE, multi carriers), Solid experience in CW/ benchmark testing, antenna theory, link budget, network planning, radio propagation modeling and prediction. Also, experience in commissioning, optimization and post launch trouble shooting is essential to this position. (UL balancing, optimizing UL path, RACH optimization, load balancing, noise mitigation, DAS parameter changes, Layer 3 level familiarity/ troubleshooting).
  • Compile and maintain all project documentation in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Contractor should have strong DAS experience on major DAS vendor equipment like Corning Mobile Access, Commscope, TEKO, ADRF, SoLID, TE (no BDA/Field tech) as well as excellent EUTRAN knowledge (Ericsson) is essential for this position.
  • Occasional site visit (within local market Area). A valid driver's license with good record is required.
  • Hands on experience on data collection tool such as Datapro, TEMS Symphony, etc.
  • Hands on experience on data analysis/post-processing tools such as Irisview, Windcatcher/Actix/TEMS Discovery
  • Hands on experience on design and optimization tools like ATOLL, IBWAVE, Zite, Truecall, Siterra/ Site tracker, ELPT, RTT, AMOS, site/sector level parameters, Unix, Scripting tools, Mapping software ex Mapinfo, ArcGIS, Topo, Excellent MS office skills
  • Must have strong work ethic, integrity and work extremely well in a team
  • Ability to work with flexible hours and with minimal supervision and guidance
  • Ability to demonstrate communication skills by communicating, verbally and in writing, in a clear and concise manner
  • BS in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent work experience in the cellular or telecommunications.
