Essential Responsibilities
  • Performs annual maintenance on sales representatives' demonstration equipment.
  • Prepares testing documentation and service reports for equipment worked on.
  • Performs periodic maintenance on equipment returned from trade shows, courses, labs, etc.
  • Conducts checks on OEM equipment and coordinates the return of such equipment to OEM for repair.
  • Performs monthly verification checks on bench testing equipment.
  • Ensures correct parts inventory is maintained while performing equipment servicing.
  • Oversees software updates, reconfigurations, and modifications on Erbe requirement as required.
  • Provides limited technical support and consultation to customers and sales reps via telephone.
  • Adheres to relevant technical procedures per standard operating and testing procedures as well as quality system regulations guidelines.
  • Participates, as necessary, in the set-up and breakdown of training room/equipment during customer training.
  • Participates in the review and editing of department procedures as necessary.

Back-up Responsibilities
  • Decontaminates devices and accessories as necessary for all returned equipment.
  • Checks/repairs foot switches, lavage pumps and other accessories/devices as directed.
  • Relocates products to proper technical services locations as needed.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position is an individual contributor and has no direct supervisory responsibility.
Work Environment
This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. The position also operates and interacts with electronic devices that are sold by the company.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel
This position requires no measurable travel.
Required Education and Experience
  • A technical degree or higher level of education in electronics or related field required; significant military training or other experience may be substituted for degree requirement at the company's sole discretion.
  • Minimum 1-3 years' experience in the field of medical electronics repair or related work required.
